Setting up University for Disability Studies and Rehabilitation Sciences (DSRS)

The proposed university will be a “first of its kind” covering the entire gamut”of DSRS in an accessible environment. The UDSRS will focus on increasing the number of trained human resources by offering diverse courses in higher education in the specific domain of DSRS including doctoral degrees.

The eminence of the university will be laid on advance research, multi disciplinary programmes, international benchmarking, acting as an Apex university for standardization of curriculam, teacher’s training, pedagogical innovations etc and offering best services for various disable groups from early intervention, preventation, cure and rehabilitation.

In the long run the university will also cater to skill training centre incubation hubs for encouraging start-up besides fostering linkages with the industry.
